Happy weekend I guess. There is no decent update on my current Gunpla kit project so I decided to just finally review and take photos (which was very much due) of my Macross toy figures. The first in line is the GN-U-Duo Macross Plus YF-19, manufactured by Yamato Toys.
I’ve made an unboxing vid, a noobish making of the video of this toy which you can find on my Youtube account. Anyhow, the figure’s size basically is proportionate to that of a 1/144 scale Gundam kit. The design is very much basic though the paint job is somewhat detailed. As for articulation, the hands and shoulders can be moved pretty well, and the legs can be extended to 90 degrees forward and backward.
The other parts included are the extra hands (open and gripped for the weapon) and the beam rifle. I did some good poses for the figure which you can see on the slideshow below.
Overall, the Macross Plus YF-19 is somewhat of an average figure or equivalent to a High Grade in terms of design and detail. It was a good buy for me because of the 80% discount, but for its original price, is slightly expensive in comparison to its features.
That is about it for this toy review and until next post. Ciao.
